Juliet Leggate

For the last 4 years, Anna has participated in the Colin’s Hope Kids Triathlon and raised pledges in memory of Colin Holst. This year she will instead swim with Olympic Swimming Athlete Elli Overton at a special event at Circle C Aquatics Center next Saturday 1st September. Elli and a group of her friends plan to swim 10K whilst Anna and her friend Summer Ferguson plan to swim a MILE!

Colin’s Hope was formed in 2008 after four-year-old Colin Holst tragically drowned in a public pool, with lifeguards on duty and family members present. Fueled by their desire to prevent such a tragedy from happening time and time again to other children, they founded Colin’s Hope to promote water safety in their community and to educate children, parents and lifeguards on drowning prevention. Believing that a few simple tips and rules might make a difference in the life of another child keeps them passionate about their new purpose, and their angel Colin is guiding them every step of the way. Through their hope…and Colin’s hope…they are finding light in the darkness. While no-one is drown-proof, drowning IS preventable.

Please consider making a pledge to Anna and her friend Summer as they swim their FIRST EVER CONTINOUS MILE to help support this amazing cause!

We wish you all the “BEST DAY EVER!”
