This is the fourth year our family has participated in the triathalon. We do it in honor of all of the families affected by childhood drowning each year, and we hope you will support our effort to raise money for Colin's Hope, and its work to prevent childhood drowning. Please give!

Hi Everyone-

Did you know that 107 Texas children lost their lives to a fatal drowning last year? Or that 6x as many children survived a non-fatal drowning incident?  We didn't. This year, Texas has already lost 77 children! These drownings are PREVENTABLE, yet DROWNING IS STILL THE NUMBER 1 CAUSE OF UNINTENTIONAL INJURY RELATED DEATH FOR CHILDREN UNDER 5 and A LEADING CAUSE FOR AGES 1-14.

As young athletes (who swim..and bike and run), we want to make a difference to prevent drowning!  Guess, what?? You can help us make a difference. We will be participating in the Colin's Hope Kids Triathlon on Sunday, September 10th.  Over 400 young athletes will swim, bike and run to raise both funds and awareness for Colin's Hope. To learn more about how Colin's Hope is preventing drowning you can view Our Story on facebook or YouTube.  

We are swimming, biking and running to honor and celebrate all the children who have lost their lives to a fatal drowning or who have survived a non-fatal drowning. Some of the children we race for are; Colin, Averie, Abbey, Brayden, Brandon, Carissa, Casey, Cayla, Connor, Drennen, Elise, Emma, Grace, Jack, Jasper, Jayce, Josh, Joshua and Christian, Kareem, Mason, Parker, Paxton. Pauly, Peyton, Rees, Ryan, Sarah, Stewie, Tristan, Wyatt, Xander and Zachary (all who will be angels guardianing us from above) and also for Abby Grace, Brady, Clay and Jack (who survived non-fatal drownings).  You can learn more about their stories here.  When you read about all the children who have drowned and see their faces, you'll just want to help. 

Will you please pledge your support for all of the amazing Colin's Hope Kids Triathletes and for drowning prevention by making a donation of any amount to this Colin's Hope Kids Tri Team Pledge Page. We have a goal to raise at least $20,000! It is a big goal but we know that we can do it together because every dollar raised means drownings prevented and lives saved. These funds will mean that more 4 year old  children can get swim safety classes and swim lessons, more families will receive water safety education and that life jacket loaner stations as area lakes will be re-stocked.
