We are proud to announce the first Swim Raiser of VMHS Eagles Swimming and Diving team!
We are raising money to support Colin's Hope, whose mission is to raise water safety awareness to prevent children from drowning. Drowning is the No. 1 cause of accidental death for children under 5 and a leading cause for ages 1-14. While no one is drown-proof, drowning is preventable.
Our event will be from 9-11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Lakes Clubhouse, 7502 Venice. Swimmers will swim 5,000 yards in two hours for your donations.
As an athlete ambassador, they are asking friends and family members to donate money to this worthy cause. The money raised will go directly to sponsor swim lessons for 4-year-olds and the purchase of life jackets to area beaches.
As you make your donation, please mention the name of your Eagle swimmer in the comments section. We will be awarding those who raise the most money.
