Hi Friends,

We feel so lucky to be part of the Colin’s Hope charity swim again this summer. This year Jen and Cathy are swimming in a relay! Jen is doing her 4th  swim for this amazing foundationand and this is Cathy's 1st swim.  This year we are swimming for the Roisum family and their son Mason, who drowned in an above ground pool in March 2009 at the age of 2 1/2.

Sadly, Texas has already lost 77 children this year to fatal drownings. These are preventable, with your help! Please consider donating any amount so that together we can make an impact to stop drownings this year.

On Sept 24th Cathy and Jen, along with dozens of other committed swimmers, will make our way around Lake Travis, all swimming for a child just like Mason and helping assist Colin's Hope in their efforts. Colin’s Hope was founded when Colin Holst, who at the age of 4 drowned in a local recreational pool with lifeguards and family members all around. Colin’s parents were shocked to learn that drowning is the number one cause of death for children under the age 4. Fueled by their desire to prevent such tragedy from happening again, the Holst’s founded Colin’s Hope www.colinshope.org to promote water safety in their community and to educate children, families and lifeguards on drowning prevention. Through their hope….and Colin’s Hope they are finding light in the darkness and making an incredible difference in water safety and for families.
