Welcome to the Best Day Ever!!  I, along with my Colin's Hope Athlete Ambassador swimming and water guardian peers, am raising money to help prevent childhood drowning.  Please help me make a difference in and around water educating people on water safety and the different layers of protection by donating!

On Thursday, September 1, 2016, I will be swimming a 10K (that's 6.2ish +/- miles) in Lake Austin from Lake Hills Community Beach Park to the Pennybacker 360 Bridge.  Some will be swimming a 2 or 3 person relay, but I have always chosen to swim solo to give myself a chance to reflect on all of the positive energy we, as Athlete Ambassadors, spread throughout Austin, and, actually, globally, educating others on water safety awareness.

Colin was 4 years of age when he drowned in a public pool under the eyes of lifeguards.  Drowning is the NUMBER ONE cause of death in children under the age of 5 and a leading cause for ages 1-14.  NO ONE is drown proof, but drowning IS preventable!  Every penny I raise goes towards swimming lessons for underprivileged children; distribution of water safety awareness information to families, schools, water parks, and youth based organizations; global distribution of water safety information in the form of an online Water Safety Quiz, and much more.  Your monies will help us continue dispersing this wealth of information and education to many.
