I am Chairing the 8th Annual Colin's Hope Classic Golf Tournament this year on April 27th at Flintlock Falls Golf Course. I am looking for great partnerships within our community and of course I thought of you!
In 2008, friends of mine lost their beautiful 4 year old son to an accidental drowning at a public pool. His parents did not want any other parents to have to go through the devastation and heartache they felt. Fueled by their desire to prevent such a tragedy from happening time and time again to other children, they founded Colin’s Hope to promote water safety in their community and to educate children, parents and lifeguards on drowning prevention. Believing that a few simple tips and rules might make a difference in the life of another child keeps them passionate about their new purpose, and their angel Colin is guiding them every step of the way. Through their hope…and Colin’s hope…they are finding light in the darkness.
I am requesting your financial support in a fundraising effort for Colin's Hope 8th Annual Golf Tournament. This is my eighth year of participating in this event. I am aware that you regularly receive these requests from your friends and business contacts for equally worthy causes. So I want to make this solicitation as brief and as painless as possible (for both of us!). We are all very busy people; it is appropriate that those of us who are lucky enough to be blessed in so many ways, find ways to give back. I appreciate any amount you would like to donate; no amount is too small or too large.
